Red Hot Chili Peppers will celebrate the next Super Bowl weekend in style. The funk-rock veterans will close out the three-day Kickoff in Brooklyn event, headlining WFAN's "Big Hello to Brooklyn" concert at the Barclays Center on Saturday, February 1st.
The celebration will also feature performances from New Politics, MS MR, J Roddy Walston and the Business and Basic Vacation. Naturally, Kickoff in Brooklyn isn't only focused on music: Prior to the concert will be a championship boxing match between "Vicious" Victor Ortiz and Luis Callazo (on January 30th) and an NBA game between the Brooklyn Nets and championship contenders the Oklahoma City Thunder (on January 31st).
Tickets for the concert go on sale on December 20th, starting at 10 a.m. EST. on Ticketmaster and the Barclays Center website. American Express Card members can beat the crowd with an exclusive presale, which lasts from December 17th at 10 a.m. EST to December 19th at 10 p.m. EST. Any remaining tickets can be purchased at the Center's American Express Box Office starting December 21st at noon EST.
Super Bowl XLVIII takes place on February 2nd, 2014 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
In other Chili Peppers news, the band is currently still in flux with their next LP, which follows 2011's I'm With You. This summer, drummer Chad Smith told Billboard that the band was hoping to start work in the fall, but that progress has been reportedly halted by bassist Flea's tenure with the Thom Yorke-led project Atoms for Peace.

TV 'The Voice' crowns winner of season five

Jamaican reggae singer Tessanne Chin was declared the winner of the fifth season of "The Voice" Tuesday night.
"Jamaica is celebrating with the United States," said host Carson Daly after the big reveal, as fireworks exploded in the background.

Sharing Tessanne's victory was her coach, Adam Levine — the second time one of his artists has claimed the top prize.
"It's been nothing but a joy to work with you," she told her mentor moments before learning about her win. "You've been a shoulder to cry on, you've been a friend, you've been invested, you've been true. I love you, I trust you."

Tessanne's emotional journey tugged at the heartstrings of fans, especially after her stunning, tearful performance of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" last week.
Alluding to the personal circumstances affecting his mentee, Adam explained at the time, "The things that [are] upsetting you are very intense and very serious, and we all respect that, but I know what you're going through."
But on Tuesday, everyone on "The Voice" stage was smiling — including the singers Tessanne defeated. Sixteen-year-old Jacquie Lee, coached by Christina Aguilera, was the runner-up, while musician Will Champlin — also from Team Adam — came in third place.
But Jacquie and Will didn't walk away empty-handed. In fact, they drove away: At a special tour of Universal Studios' back lot, all three finalists learned that they had each won a brand-new Kia car.

The two-hour live telecast also featured performances by Lady Gaga (teaming up with Christina, whom she'd just met), Celine Dion (dueting both with Tessanne and, later, Ne-Yo), Alloe Black (with Will), Paramore (with Jacquie) and OneRepublic.
The season's ousted contestants also took to the "Voice" stage one last time, joining the finalists in rousing renditions of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," Bruno Mars' "Treasure," Outasight's "Tonight Is the Night," "Wagon Wheel" and "Hold On, I'm Coming."
Tessanne closed the show by debuting "Tumbling Down," a song written specifically for the new champion by OneRepublic founder Ryan Tedder, "The Voice's" in-house songwriter-producer.

Tessane's win for Team Adam means that the Maroon 5 frontman now has more ammunition to use against his archnemesis Blake Shelton, who taunted him throughout the season with his three consecutive wins. (Blake was officially toppled from his throne when his remaining artist, Cole Vosbury, was eliminated in week six.)
So Blake and Adam's epic bromance will become even more fiery next season, when the show's mainstays return alongside mentors Shakira and Usher (swapping seats again with Christina and CeeLo Green). "The Voice" returns for a sixth season with a special two-night premiere on Monday Feb. 24 and Tuesday Feb. 25.

We The Kings Aren't Backing Down In Their New 'Art Of War' Lyric Video

We The Kings demonstrate resolve in their 'Art Of War' lyric video.
"No label, No limits, just us and the fans working TOGETHER," is how We The Kingsexplained their crowdfunding campaign to record their fourth album earlier this fall. Welp, turns out crowdfunding really works! The band not only met their goal in under a day, but they surpassed it by five times.
Fans who helped raise cash for We The Kings' new album finally got to hear the results yesterday; the band self-released their new album, Somewhere Somehow, which quickly went to No. 2 on the iTunes chartsWho says DIY is dead?
Now, topping off a solid release week, the Florida band has a new lyric video for their latest single, "Art Of War." Check it out below!
Watch We The King's "Art Of War" lyric video after the jump.
The "Art Of War" sounds like it could be a report from behind the lines in the music business, but the lilting, fragile ballad is another in the long line of "love and friendship as a battle" metaphors. "We were just two kids thrown into the flames/ We would never, ever be the same," Travis Clark sings.
Though the song was originally supposed to appear on The Hunger Games: Catching Firesoundtrack, it didn't end up making the final cut. Too bad, as it would've been a good fit, what with its story of perseverance against the odds and its vaguely unsettling tone.
"The Art of War," incidentally, is a reference to ancient Chinese military texts written by Sun Tzu, who was known for indelible wisdom like "To know your Enemy, you must become your Enemy." That may well be true, but when is someone going to get around to writing a manual called "The Art of Love"?  Seems like a lot of people out there could still use it.
The band won't be on tour until the spring, but Somewhere Somehow is available now, and more seasonally minded fans can download their Christmas single here.

Justin Bieber Continues Expressing Himself Through A Graffiti Rampage (PHOTO)

Justin Bieber got his graffiti on, once again!
Don't look now, but Justin Bieber's back on his graffiti s***.
As 2014 approaches, we'd like to review the vast range of emotions Justin Bieber has exhibited this year.
While Justin's obviously found emotional release via his music (he had a case of the breakup blues in "Heartbreaker," felt classically melancholy in "All That Matters," optimistic in "Recovery," and in the mood in "PYD"), sometimes Taylor Swift-ing your life in song isn't the only way to achieve emotional catharsis. See: The Biebs' reoccurring side gig as a semi-profesh graffiti artist!
Earlier in November, we caught Justin spray painting emo peguins and blinged-out apes, and now it looks like bro's back on his art grind! Posting the above pic to Instagram, Justin appears to be drawing something a bit more obscure. (I.e., we can't tell what it is.) Perhaps it's an upside-down blue alien? With a super-sad Casper the Friendly Ghost somewhere on the bottom left?
Either way, we're happy Justin's found a suitable outlet to channel his feelings. But maybe before he makes his mark on any more public spaces, he should look into getting a graffiti permit? Then again, we're not sure what building wouldn't wanna up its property value with a trademark "Painted By Bieber." You can decorate my bedroom wall anytime, bb!

Elvis Presley Biography

Elvis Presley
Elvis Aaron Presley[a] (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer, musician, and actor. One of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred to as "the King of Rock and Roll", or simply, "the King".
Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Presley and his family moved to Memphis, Tennessee, when he was 13 years old. His music career began there in 1954, when he started to work withSam Phillips, the owner of Sun Records. Accompanied by guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black, Presley was an early popularizer of rockabilly, an uptempo, backbeat-driven fusion of country music and rhythm and blues. RCA Victor acquired his contract in a deal arranged by Colonel Tom Parker, who was to manage the singer for more than two decades. Presley's first RCA single, "Heartbreak Hotel", released in January 1956, was a number-one hit in the US. He became the leading figure of rock and roll after a series of network television appearances and chart-topping records. His energized interpretations of songs and sexually provocative performance style, combined with a singularly potent mix of influences across color lines that coincided with the dawn of the Civil Rights Movement, made him enormously popular—and controversial.
In November 1956, he made his film debut in Love Me Tender. In 1958, he was drafted into military service: He resumed his recording career two years later, producing some of his most commercially successful work before devoting much of the 1960s to making Hollywood movies and their accompanying soundtrack albums, most of which were critically derided. In 1968, following a seven-year break from live performances, he returned to the stage in the acclaimed televised comeback special, Elvis, which led to an extendedLas Vegas concert residency and a string of highly profitable tours. In 1973, Presley was featured in the first globally broadcast concert via satellite, Aloha from Hawaii. Several years of prescription drug abuse severely deteriorated his health, and he died in 1977 at the age of 42.

Presley is one of the most celebrated musicians of 20th century. Commercially successful in many genres, including pop, blues and gospel, he is the best-selling solo artist in the history of recorded music.[5][6][7][8] He was nominated for 14 Grammys and won three, receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at age 36. He has been inducted into multiple music halls of fame.
